Wind load calculation for Multifaceted office complex

Simulation of the wind flow of the Multifaceted office complex was performed in Simcenter STAR-CCM+ numerical simulation licensed program.

The simulation of the wind flow for two complex buildings ≈82 m and ≈50 m (20 and 13 storeys) high. Simulation was performed for 24 wind directions with step 15°.

This was intended for calculating the main wind load and peak wind loads for the designed buildings.

The simulation considered the surrounding relief and buildings spanning about 1 km.

Our company has received a Certificate of compliance for Simcenter STAR-CCM+ program and for compliance with the requirements of RC 20.133330.2016 “Loads and impact” and GOST R 56728-2015 “Buildings and structures. Technique of wind load calculation on building envelopes”. So the simulation results obtained with Simcenter STAR-CCM+ software are accepted by Moscow state expert review department.
