Wind load simulation for the indoor storage for mechanized coal reprocessing
Modeling of coal reprocessing storage aerodynamics was performed in Simcenter STAR-CCM+ commercial licensed software.
Numerical wind simulation for the indoor storage is based on the numerical solution of unsteady 3D Navier-Stokes equations (Reynolds averaged). The simulation results were processed after obtaining a steady flow regime.
The simulation results were presented in form of:
• isofields of average wind pressure coefficients for the structure surface.
• isofields of total (average+pulsation) wind pressure coefficients for the structure surface.
• isofields of peak positive and negative wind pressure coefficients for the structure surface.
• Charts with loads on the representative elements of the overall structure.
